FaDETA travel specialises in fishing and diving expeditions in and around Cape York Peninsula, far north Queensland. Famous for its river and deep sea fishing, Cooktown is also located closer to the Great Barrier Reef than any other town in Queensland, so getting to pristine coral reefs is quick and convenient.

Our tours are ideal for enthusiastic and experienced fisherman and scuba divers although we welcome beginners who wish to participate in these popular and exciting sports.

FaDETA is committed to the sustainable future of fishing and diving in Cape York and as such we have incorporated into each of our tours a scientific research component. Whilst enjoying your holiday you will be able to contribute to our understanding of the marine environment by collecting data. This data will be passed on to our partners at James Cook University, who will use it to increase our knowledge of the regions unique and fragile marine eco-systems.
