The pristine environment of Cape York is home to many unique Australian species. These include Wallabies, Brush Turkey's, Palm Cockatoo, Sea Eagle, Azure Kingfisher, a number of parrot species and flying foxes. Minke Whales, Dugongs, Saltwater crocodiles and many more creatures are sure to enhance your North Queensland experience.

Local flora is represented by mangroves and rainforest nurturing endemic orchids and prehistoric plants. Also common to the region are a variety of tropical palm trees and eucalypts as well as a number of historically significant exotics such as mango, coconut and paw-paw trees that are found in most local gardens.
